Godless Indeed, Coulter.

As Rachel Maddow pointed out on yesterday’s radio show, it’s entirely comical (and telling) that Anne Coulter’s new book comes out on 6/6/6. If it’s not purposeful, it sure is funny. Hell, it’s funny anyway.

Someone needs to feed her.

  1. There are rare instances when she cracks me up. She’s saucy- albeit very militant and scary. She most definately needs a sandwhich.

  2. i often joke about how the worlds funniest joke, which i’ve been trying to write for a while now, will be me telling a joke about ann coulter getting raped , at the annual dinner of the National Organization of Woman. when i tell the joke there is utter silence for 10seconds (the uncomfortable kind), then chuckles, small claps, and then the entire audience is giving me a giant standing ovation.

    some people think thats tasteless.

well last week i found out that over the past 2 years, ann coulter has been working in jokes to some speeches about how liberals want to rape her. no shit – she jokes about being raped herself.

that said , i think i need to make a new ann coulter joke…

ever notice the similarities between these two?

i think coulter is just a skinsuit, and we’ve all been had.

I will try so hard not to. I promise.

Although, I am going to try and figure it out by how you wrote what you wrote. I will not cheat!!

I must admit, I’d like to tie her up and show her a thing or two about what Godless liberals are capable of.

oh come on, like that would be hard?

everyone knows once the doors are closed she’s nothing more than a cheap drunk slut, and the only reason why she hates abortion is because she got sick after her seventh one.

  16. Ann is precisely the way I like my women: conservative in print but liberal in bed.

Pier Paolo Pasolini’s film Salo (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073650/) is all about this stuff. The fact is, in art/media the most conservative are very often the most decadent. It’s a common trope (almost to the point of cliche).

  17. Ashamed, I have my guess at who you are. I have it narrowed down to three people. My first guess is a certain someone I know from DC and took yoga with. My second guess is a certain someone who makes me laugh from upstate NY. Lastly, it’s an old friend who lives in Western PA. Am I close? (You don’t have to out yourself.)

  18. Don’t know much about Ann Coulter, but I know that I don’t like her one bit.

  19. not me : ) that’s if you were refering to me as the western pa old person i mean friend

  20. Not you? DAMN! Well, I have two more guesses. Although, my first guess happens to be a gay man.

  21. but i must agree with Ashamed and that’s probably why you thought it was me. catholic school girls and jewish girls, in my experience have sunk the most ships, if i may mix metaphors. as for that trashy slut anne coulter, she definitely has a personality made for literary works! looking at her curdles my milk and listening to her makes me walk into the other room….. but i do enjoy reading her books, they’re really funny!

  22. How do you mean, funny? Do elaborate.

  23. well, in a “take the finger-pointers and spin the finger around on them and see them squirm.” it doesn’t make her point of view right or wrong, but in many cases, she enlightens her audience with facts that hurt the mainstream talking heads and make them look foolish and one-sided. i find that funny. with her being a lawyer( she loses creds with me for it) she does do the research that most mainstreamers tend to gloss over)

  25. Today, Hillary Clinton suggested that the book be renamed ‘Heartless’ ( http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/06/07/coulter.911.widows.ap/index.html )

Apparently, Coulter says that a bunch of september 11th widows were glad their husbands died.

Now, I made 9/11 jokes nonstop—and I’ll admit some cross the line. But saying that someone is glad that their family died? Thats seriously fucked up.

    Ashamed-
First, Salo was also mostly just an adaptation of the Marqui de Sade’s 120 days of Sodom with a few references to corrolary texts thrown in – so if you’re going to reference anything, you should hit on the original text. Its also really bad. Aside from being pretty unwatchable as in uncomfortable from the graphic elements, trying to restructure the tale around Dante’s inferno convoluted the tale and meanigns so much, it made it unwatchable from an intellectual standpoint. It really just exists as a director toying with obscenity to create a completely unerotic portrayal of sexual acts.

Second, I see almost no correlation between your point and Salo (i’ll refer to it since thats what you’re talking of – perhaps you never read the original ). Salo was about exploring the base characteristics inherent in man (or at least what DeSade felt were inherent and hidden away, and should be liberated) , and what happens when absolute power corrupts absolutely. The offendors in Salo weren’t cast as conservative, they were men of power who could act as they wished with no repurcussions.
