Nothing

Toby went to work today. We made lunch this morning together, had some tea and left before 8 a.m. Good times. :] My cats are destroying our new, round IKEA rug. Oh well. I really don’t have much to say or add today. I’m tired. I want coffee but won’t break down. I want to play that damn video game. I want to go on vacation. I want to not have meetings all the time. Is it too soon to buy my Christmas tree? Is it?
This weekend we watched Serendipity. It was perhaps one of the worst cookie-cutter pieces of crap movies I ever sat through. I’m sort of surprised at what Cusack will agree to. Anyway, it wasn’t offensive, per say, just really really bad.
That is all. (For right now).

  1. Yeah, John Cusack is my favorite actor. I heart him. But, I agree, that movie ain’t no “Better off Dead,” yo. By the way, “Office Space” was on Comedy Central again last night. I can never get sick of that movie. Yeah, that has nothing to do with Cusack, I just like that movie. ;)

How strange, a co-worker and I were just discussing the movie Better Off Dead this morning.

  5. I haven’t seen Serendipity, but my sister told me it was even worse and more puke-inducing than America’s Sweethearts, so I’m in no rush to see it at all. And I too am disappointed in John’s career choices. I used to be able to say that there wasn’t a John Cusack movie I didn’t like. I can’t say that anymore.

  6. Doesn’t Cusack pick ‘blockbuster’ movies once in a while, just to please everybody and then he goes back to making smaller, more independent movies? I saw Serendipity on a plane. There was nothing better to do anyways.

  7. I saw Johnny Cusack interviewed a couple of months ago (on Craig Kilborn, maybe?)… He doesn’t like doing the Serendipity schlock, either, really. But he says for every one of those crap films, he can get paid enough to make a Grosse Point Blank, or other indie movie. Doesn’t that make it all worthwhile? I’ll go see Serendipity 8 times if it means I can get another flick like GPB.

  8. fuck that.

that excuse is for bourgeois sellouts.

grosse point made enough to make another grosse point.

    what he means is:

“I can still live like richie rich and make another indie movie”

some folks have an odd view of necessity…

  9. that last post sounded bitchy – it isn’t. I just hate the Indy Celeb Martyrdom Game. :)

  10. maybe it was bitchy, who knows. but I do agree with you. That movie sucked, and if he wants me to pay attention to him from now on, best to stop making such shite. Indeed. Amen. Whatever.

And teach that british chick how to god damn act. Holy yak, she was really bad.

  11. In John’s defense, I’m assuming that he’s making enough money on the crap movies to invest in the good movies, which would give him more control over the movies. On the other hand, how does he sleep at night after subjecting us to America’s Sweethearts. I also wonder if one day he will have lost all his credibility, since in the long run the Serendipitys will outweigh the High Fidelitys.

  12. Look at mister Nick Cage. Holy cow. Dude goes from a hot little gems like Raising Arizona and Wild at Heart to things like The Rock and Con Air. Could be all down hill for Mr Cusack.

  13. The Nicholas Cage downfall is the worst ever. Leaving Las Vegas is one of my most favorites. And Rumblefish? Well he’s only in that for about 5 minutes, but is is my fav part- “Rusty James!Bif Wilcox is looking for you Rusty James” (Bif Wilcox?? maybe not)

Anyway for some reason I tried to watch Con Air the other day and Cage’s performance made me want to cry. Jon Cusack is in that too – a double tragedy.

  19. HOLY CRAP! That quite a loaf of cat! Now I don’t feel so bad about my overfed cats. That is Schmitty times 10. (I hope, I haven’t seen him lately)

  20. Schmitty is slightly smaller than that. This I know.

And we have him on a diet. You’ll have to come see him soon. His head is huge. Huge.

  21. Just his head? wierd. Is it the
around his head or the actual head? Does he have neck rolls?
Herman has a huge body but still a little head. Like a pear. He’s got dumps like a truck.

  22. It sounds like Schmitty isn’t THAT overweight if his head is bigger than his body. You’re lyin’ to all of us about his weight problems. ;) Really obese cats have tiny heads and
    tie

    bodies. Like Nico's sounds.

By the way, Scbob and Momhow are lookin’ good! ;) All that fresh Pennsylvania farm air and all…
