I am on this new kick because my commute on the L train sucks so very badly. Today, I waited for 45 minutes before an unpacked train entered the Graham station. My fellow commuters were livid. Three out of five days this week were an absolute nightmare while riding the L Train.
Today, I decided that instead of actually getting on, I’d sit back and film the ordeal. I took video after video of one pregnancy packed train after another. Can’t join ‘em, film ‘em.
Anyway, it was fun. So when I finally arrived to Grand Central Station, about 1 hour later, I filmed my exit. (Warning: Music) I added the song I was listening to at the time as well.
It’s boring, but I had fun opening Flash again. Now, if only I had the time to figure out how to fade in and out.
I simply could not resist. Here is proof, of how bad the L Train is. (Video with sound.) The train you see in this video was number three. I finally got on the fourth. I hate this damn train.
i do not miss that train!!!!
I wonder how many people are gonna have to dig out Fugazi today. ;]
Yeah, for some reason the L Train video doesn’t quite work for me. I have no idea why. Damn Flash. Damn SWF player. Damn it to hell.
Damn whatever is wrong…
i really hate to see hipsters standing around doing nothing, they need a soundtrack actually. i wouldn’t use fugazi, it gives them a bad name.hehehehehehehehe
But the song totally makes sense. The words… Plus, they’re not doing nothing, they’re hating the L Train because they all watched about 3 or so drive by every
– oh, I don’t know 25 minutes –stuffed full of people.Hipster or not, that is the most frustrating thing ever.
Screw the MTA.
missing the last Ltrain at 3 am drunk off your ass and 15 degrees outside and having to pee….now that sucks. at least you got a good excuse for being late for work….hehehehehe, all kidding aside, that plain sucks!
I met a woman down there today who was so angry, I thought she might beat me up. It’s like being pissed off at mother nature for raining.
now i know why i saw so many people shot over there at devo street….3 total so i guess it wasn’t that bad
Its not entirely the MTA’s fault.
The NYC Council members and NYC planning agencies pocketed a shitload of cash over the past few years from developers over the rezoning deal and issuing permits for all of those buildings that have already been inhabited and the 200x more that are going up. There’s NO provisions in the deal whatsoever for traffic or subway – just about every urban planning group in the country said “What The Fuck?”
So the L sucks, and its going to get worse, because the line can’t handle more cars yet, and development is increasing astronoically because Gifford Miller and the rest of the assholes he was on city council with decided a few million in campaign contributions for failed attempts at higher office would be worth screwing the communities.
Today’s mishap was entirely the employees fault. Entirely. I watched probably 13 trains go by on the other side in the time it took me to fit on one heading into the city. That seems to me like an error of the employees.
Either way, they have to figure something out or someone is going to get killed.
You are a patient boy. You wait, you wait, you wait. :)
Thats the main reason we moved.
