Self-Portrait Day: Transportation

Well, here it is, Megan told me it was SPD de la Transportation. Today, all I have is an oldie (but a goodie?). Feel free to enlarge the image to see and get the full effect. (The amount of joy emanating from my face is downright frightening. And look at my socks! Yeesh.)

In other news:

we launched another SPD last night. It still seems to be getting some hits. We’ve decided to keep it around until it self-destructs or we figure out what to change with it. (There was talk about adding a message board and a few other ideas, too. We’ll see.)

  1. You look adorable!

I would have thought SPD is still rockin’ it out…no? A message board….hmmmm..like I need yet another place to become addicted.

  2. Yeah, the only reason we didn’t build one from the get go was we were worried about wankers saying harsh things about our participants. that would really boil my blood. But maybe we could have a group of people who “police” so to speak, giving them all privileges to delete shitty comments. We’ll see. It might be a fun way to find out how someone created something, what they used, etc.

  3. Fun!!! I love your SPD site. It’s exciting to check it out every week. What kills me is all of the people overseas who contribute. NUTS!!!

  4. I think the overseas folks come predominantly from the Mirror Project run by Heather Champ. She so graciously had us linked from there for many months. :]

  6. And to think we were on a yoga retreat at the time with a bunch of really fit, really hot individuals. Ah well, I gotta throw the goober into the mix. At least I’m not wearing flip flops. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Give Williamsburg some time, and surely it’ll be stylish.

  8. Maybe if you got an ‘a-list’ blogger to link to spd, it would be more popular.

According to the rankings heather champ is a lowly b-list blogger.

FlipFlops are fucking great. You shouldn’t be ashamed to wear them.

  9. Who comes up with this shit? There are blog rankings? That’s a little disconcerting. :/

  10. I’m pmsing and I just want to rant about how totally stupid that is. can I? Oh, can I please? It’s been a long time since I’ve totally gotten all worked up and started fighting on the internet. Not that I have anyone to fight with, but I’m sure I could find someone. Seriously, was this blog phenomenon in the Tipping Point? I blame everything on Kotke. Or something. This is making little to no sense. Gonna shut face now.

I’m going to write my own list with the right URL everyone will take it seriously.

  12. hahahhaha

What’s that W.C. Fields quote about not wanting to be a member of a club that would have me as its member? Yeah.
I’m only fucking around. I just dumped an entire thing of jello onto my lap. I look like I went into the light and fell through the ceiling.

  14. My skirt is stiff as a board. Plus, I ruined a favorite t-shirt cleaning it up. I hope I can save both garments. What a disaster.
