Here we go again.

Due to the fact Toby Joe and I were in Fort Wilderness during the gearing up of the Half Ironman contest, we have begun the South Beach Diet. There is nothing more humiliating and inspiring and humbling than seeing a bunch of unbelievably healthy men and women prepare for a triathlon while on vacation.

My goal is to lose 25 pounds. (But I’d be pleased with losing 20.)

Wish us luck.

  1. I put almost three pounds back on – and I blame it on you, Ryan, and Rob for buying all those fancy meals for Momhow and me. I, too will be BUFF soon.

  2. It’s been TWO days and already I’m craving that afternoon sugar high. :[ Gonna fight it. I really shouldn’t have had a dessert every day while we were down there.

  5. you should have a desert every night—life is worth living

you should also have fats – every diet i’ve seen that works keeps the ‘indulgences’ in there – just in moderation, and balances them out. it keeps your body, and mind, from craving and giving up altogether

  10. My roommate started the south beach diet a few months ago and totally swears by it. The first few weeks seemed like they were the toughest for him – but once he could have fruit again, it was all good. He’s lost about 40lbs.

    Good luck!
