Healed

I am lifting weights. I made fake chicken. I designed two install screens for work. I looked out the window for a while. I mopped the floor. I shaved my legs and plucked my eyebrows. I cleaned the rug in the bathroom. I scrubbed it with laundry detergent. I did the dishes. I cleaned the sink. I watered the cats and fed the plants. I think one might safely assume I am feeling better.

What’s that? What’s that you say? You say today is Saturday? Goodbye, I’m going out to play.”

(I wish).

  1. being sick sucks so i am glad you re feeling better. now that you ARE feelign better, i will share my disturbing fact w/ you: i was taking a pathology class in school & my professor was very very adament that there was no such thing as a 24 hour bug, and that it was always, always food poisoning. she claimed that most people get (mild) cases of food poisoning 2 to 4 times a year. kind of gross, and not what you want to hear while you are sick. but once you feel better, it isn’t so disturbing.

  2. I would not be surprised at all. Not one bit. In fact, even if it lasted longer then 24 hours, I could still see how it would be one’s diet. Then again, I have no facts backing me up. And I may have just stated the absolute obvious. Oh well.

This sickness, however. I do believe it’s because I took two bc pills at once. See Sunday, the pharmacy was closed so I went in yesterday to get them, hence having to “make up for loss time.”

And I woke up sick. Sick as hell. So sick. :) Either way, it’s my fault. And here I am being all honest about it.

  3. i see. just as a word to the wise you might want to “be careful” (ah, euphemisms). i was taking bc very carefully, never missed days, etc. and i’m now 5 1/2 months pregnant. so i’d be careful w/ even 1 missed day because, um, bc pills are apparently not messing around when they say 99% effective….

  5. It was a pleasant surprise I hope? You’re going to have a little one! Probably quite a shocker at first. Thanks for the warning. :)

Boy or girl. Do you know yet? These questions are probably way too personal.

One time I asked a woman how her husband proposed to her (we were at a table of about 6 people and every one was sharing stories of the like) and another woman said, “Well that’s a mighty personal question to ask! Shame!”

I felt like a friggin moron. I hope I’m not doing that right now again. :)

  6. Rob, you are lucky you put quotes around that one. Tobyjoe would have had a field day on you for that.

    Who knows, he still might.

  7. wow, no. i can’t imagine someone throwing that much of a fit over an innocuous question.
    not too personal.
we are finding out boy/girl on thursday. i’m practically having a heart attack waiting.

it took like 3 months for the shock to wear off. it is definitely the most effective quit drinking/smoking/eating poorly program i have ever encountered (ha). but i am getting more and more excited, mostly cause i can finally feel the baby moving and all…seems much more “real”
