It’s days like this one when I wish I had tens of thousands of visitors to this Web site each and every day. Not because I want to talk about my life and have people tell me how great I am but because I wish I could get more eyes and ears to see this video.
Very few people move me with their political speeches and/or views especially on the TV machine. But Keith Olbermann actually gives me chills.
It’s back to the ‘blame a party’ game. Yet it seems to me that Clinton hit it on the nose when he said Rove does a great job marketing ‘fear’ to be the key reason as to why Republicans win and Democrats fail. Every party needs a good central PR and the Dems can’t seem to pick one.. they have several to rally behind.
Just my two cents- I watched the Clinton interview on Sunday (although it was taped Friday).
I had never even heard of Keith Olbermann (no cable TV and admittedly I kind of live under a rock most days) until my friend sent me the link to his commentary from Ground Zero. That made me shake with rage and cry my eyes out.
This, too, was brilliant. Too bad—if Bush even bothered to watch it, he wouldn’t understand it! Too many big words.
I love Mr. Olbermann for what he says and how he says it.
I just read on CNN that Oprah has endorsed Obama. This is totally unrelated to the post above, I do realize. But I bet he stands a heckuva chance at winning, like leader of the entire universe with an endorsement like that. He’s her favorite guy

Yeah, I love it. Truly. ALthough, I run almost every damn day and I haven’t ever been in as much pain as I was after playing one damn game of soccer. Nuts.
Keith is a washed up former sports announcer who couldn’t even make it on ESPN. There’s a reason most people have never heard of him – he sucks. That’s why he is hidden on MSNBC. Just what did he use other than name calling to back up anything he said? His judgment of the interviewer is completely off base. If it were Rush or someone like that I could understand it. Olbermann will continue to bask in the liberal limelight buried in obscurity on some off beat cable channel. Whenever you want the truth turn to FOX. They always attempt to give you both sides. Putting Clinton on to give him his pulpit from which to speak is much more valuable to the discourse than Keith’s almost mentally unbalanced tirade. You New Yorkers sure have a short memory. The real enemy is still out there. All these distractions in the name of politics and get my people elected make the next attack seem much closer. I’d rather hear Keith put together the same effort for the head of Iran for instance. People the sooner you realize this isn’t a political game the better. The other side is not the republicans or democrats – it’s the people who are openly threatening to annihilate us.

Olbermann is a hack. He just gets namedropped because he talks about things no one else will. But he tends to do hack jobs on it. If someone who was a good journalist covered what he did, instead of a hack pulpit, that would be interesting…

on a serious note. it seems to me that when the fingers are pointed at the other guy, the one pointing better be ready to get some pointed back at him.
It seems to me that at least the Clinton administration tried to be about government. This administration has been about nothing but politics to the detriment of our economy, our foreign policy and most shamefully to our national security. As SCBob says, “they’re still out there,” and woefully because of the policies and decisons made by the Bush Whitehouse their numbers are on the rise.
What Bob sees as an “almost mentally unbalanced tirade,” from Olbermann (I believe similiar words were used in the press to describe President Clinton’s interview) I see as an ardent speech by someone passionate about his opinion. Passion is something I’ve never once seen demonstrated by Chris Wallace or for that matter President Bush or any member of his cabinet, who all seem so terribly comfortable behind their smugness that it’s hard to imagine them being passionate about anything much less leading our nation.
there is a stark contrast to the talking heads of the past and the way the news is delivered these days. opinion seems to be the new news full of passion also seen as bias.
when people want to hear a story one way, they can now go to the outlet where the passions of the talking head are more in line with the passions of the listener(all other news outlets be damned) this still doesn’t always make it true.
hindsight is 20-20 right? well, i don’t blame clinton totally and i don’t blame bush either. if we try and blame bush, then we have to be ready to blame clinton and bush one and everyone. it’s a waste of time personally, but i do agree that truth outside of passion is more important than passion alone. ted bundy was passionate so was wayne gacy, but the truth is they were crazy as shit too.
it’s amazing to me that two sides can look at the same story and tell opposite reactions….like repubs saying clinto melted down and the dems saying clinton tore him a new a-hole! how does that happen? so each news story goes off on their tangent talking about how unhinged or clear the interview was and nobody talks about the content of the interview! it’s so annoying that i wish for the old days where passion and opinion are removed and up to me, not up to them. the issue as bob said…they’re still out there.
