iHateDesign

I (re)launched a version of iHateDesign this weekend. It’s still in beta. I anticipate changes over the next month or so. But, at least it’s working! Stop by, if you have a chance.

  2. I didn’t write you back, did I? I am so sorry. Greg, you should just call me on the phone when you wanna chat. Email can have a way of losing itself with me. :]

Yes, iHateDesign is still in Beta. It’s morphing, surely. You can talk about whatever kind of design you’d like there as long as it’s about design.

  3. i would really like to know what design is and a way to define it or at least rope it-hogtieit-and let it go….sorta a catch and release program in design. i struggle with this on a daily basis. especially in the world of design i have placed myself. is it design? is it functional fuddly crap. is it just marketing something that’ll sell, is it even scratching at the surface of good. is it ephemeral, is it “hens teeth” or “rocking horse poo”, does it even exist as a thing or is it just whatever someone wants without any rules applied to it? i just wonder……you got any thoughts?”….or should it go over to that site?

  4. Perhaps I’ll start a thread based on what you just said. We can talk about here or there. There are no rules, my dear. Feels good, doesn’t it?

Trying to figure out how to put it on ihd based on what you wrote.

Also, eventually, I will add a forum so anyone can ask anything and conversations can move freely without me and my adding a post.

  5. ever since i moved back to da burgh, i don’t get to talk about this stuff too often(or people look at me funny)! i think this is why i razz nyc and architecture in general, partly because i miss it and partly because i’m jealous of having that environment to think in. here, i just talk to myself and when i hear what i’m saying…..i have to give ‘myself’ a funny look! so, your site sounds interesting to me and the “forum idea” could be a nice option.

  6. I’m happy to hear that. Stop by. Like I said, I want it to become an open forum for anyone in a design-related field. I want people to be able to ask questions, etc. I want people to feel OK with critiquing work, good or bad.

I miss it too, greg. I don’t have much of that anymore. I miss brainstorming like you wouldn’t believe.

Oh man, it is getting a little out of hand, isn’t it? We only have one more site pending. And that’s gonna be our big one. It will take time. By then, the others will probably have been burned to the ground.

    Just kidding.

  9. snakes on a plane is real. there are 5 trailers floating around – only one of them is real ( it has a crate, and snakes everywhere on a plane ). there are 4 joke trailers , and a few dozen joke mp3s , plus a fake reading of the script and other stuff floating around. people heard the name, the treatment got leaked, and it became the new fad thing to make fun of.

sorry to post here. there are just too many mihow sites to check on and post comments to and check back again.
