I Am So Last Week.

Tobyjoe and I have never used Tivo. On Friday, we picked up the Time Warner equivalent.

The question is this: How did I go so long without this? Tonight, we are recording Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy in order to watch The Sopranos and The L Word. You see, I realized about a half an hour ago, if we watch the paid channels we can later bypass the commercials on Network T.V. and save up to a half an hour. And with that extra half an hour, I can watch more television!

Ain’t life grand?

  1. Welcome to the world of TIVO/ DVR (digital video recorder, as the cable company calls it out here…!) Your life will never be the same! I rarely watch live TV because that thing. We got ours orginally when Isabel was born. That thing saved our life when it came to watching important things like, The Sopranos, for example!
    Enjoy the good life! :o)

  2. You’ll never want to watch TV at your friends’ places anymore, unless they have some sort of PVR. I always insist people come over here to watch TV if there is a group getting together. We have them show up when the show is starting, meanwhile the program is being paused while we fill drinks, get snacks, and chat. Then at 20 after the hour, we press play and forward through the commercials.

Your life will never be the same.
