  1. i was shot in back while riding a motorcycle back in high school by a shot gun filled with rocksalt(it hurt). my dad’s been pepper’d while hunting and so were both my grandfathers, most bird hunters have been peppered at least once…. it is a big deal, but accidents do happen and more often than most people would think, hunters usually just shake it off and keep going.

  2. Holy crap! How did you not kill that kid? I’d have kicked his ass. I love this term “peper’d” good stuff. I could come up with some kind of joke about peppering birds and being peppered by metal while killing said birds but a). I’m not smart enough and b). it ain’t that original or funny.

I know it was an accident. Totally. But from now on I’m going to make sure to avoid any and all older men with guns.

  3. no, i was actually shot on purpose….it was a crazy old man who for some reason didn’t like us kids riding on the power lines next to his farmhouse. most of my friends have been blessed by his salt-pellet-packed shot too!

  5. I like “peppered” too. It’s like a happy way of saying “shot”. In the spirit of this new word, let’s just replace the words from now on to play down the seriousness of certain situations.
“Two police officer’s were peppered down in the line of duty today…”
“A black hawk helicopter was peppered by Iraqi insurgents..”
You see! Not so serious anymore! Now excuse me while I pepper a load on my stomach…
