Pat Robertson = Batshit Crazy. Pat Robertson is at it again. Have a listen to what he had to say about Sharon’s condition. (Sound involved. Spliced it together all by myself.) Pat Robertson is on an express track straight to the front of Hell. Share this: Published January 6, 2006 Author Mihow Category Uncategorized Comments 18 Comments
The man is absolutely certifiable. WHERE are the men in white coats to drag his ass away?
The man needs HELP, people. He is not well.
I would love to see he and Tom Cruise go at it in a debate. I’m not sure why, but I think that’d be incredible to watch. Maybe.
I’d love to see that too. Maybe their heads would explode. That would be radder than them jumping on Oprah’s couch and having a pillowfight.
heehee. a debate betwixt Robertson and Cruise. that would be a good time. why does anyone continue to quote him? i just don’t get it. is he supposed to represent the conservative christian voice in media? even when most conservative christians think he’s as crazy as everyone else does? i can’t even bring myself to listen to the link.
Throw Anne Coulter in there, too. Oh, and Dr. Bronner.
I am not sure why they always quote him or why he gets so much press. He truly is a horrible man. He’s filled with hate.
Dr Bronner the hemp soap guy is bad? Or is there another? I’m confused.
This isn’t about “bad” people. It’s about crazy people. I’m a huge fan of the fellas soaps. I used them every day. But judging by the verbiage on his products, I’d say the guy has head issues. But if he’s not “bad” enough for you, throw Heston in there instead.
Ahh! I can get back in. Did your comments about Pat nuke your server? Mihow, oldmansounds, and lordnapping were all unavailable for a while.
Really? Weird. I dunno. Maybe we were hacked by Pat!
That dude is so scary. He’s not doing much to help his cause, or agenda as the case may be.
I think what is most interesting is that, within the context of his religion, he is not crazy at all. He clearly believes in a very literal reading of the bible and he clearly believes in a very vengeful god. In that context it makes a lot of sense that he thinks god is striking Sharon. I mean I don’t really believe in god at all, so , it all seems kinda crazy to me.
sian, check out this article. Robertson really doesn’t speak much for his religion at all. Even THEY think he’s gone off the deep end:
He obviously doesn’t represent the views of all christians he doesn’t even represent the views of all conservative christians but he clearly represents the views of HIS religion. These are his beliefs and there are others who agree. This is why religion is so tricky. It is varied and personal and it is easy to see how it can cause friction and even war. A lot of us think ‘ol Pat is totally nuts, he thinks a lot of us are totally nuts, there are people who think Pat AND us are nuts. If you try to look at all the possible religious belief sytems a person could have, objectivley it is difficult to make any concrete conclusions. A lot of religion, all if you are athiest, is made up. So, who is right? How does the world find a way for all of them to exist happily without any of them being watered down?
Sian, I hadn’t really thought about it that way to be honest. The Bible is filled with beliefs such as his. It’s volient, vengeful, and, at times, extremely hateful. Heck, even Jesus himself wasn’t always a peacful man.
The fortunate thing is not everyone actually reads the Bible. And then those who actually do are, generally speaking, not crazy enough to actually go through with and/or believe that everything in it is exact truth without poetic license. (Thank goodness!) I guess it’s pretty safe to say that in this day and age even those who believe probably find him to be slightly off his rocker. Then again, as someone mentioned earlier, if this is indeed true, why on earth does he still get quoted on every major news program and printed in every major newspaper out there? We might as well start quoting Manson at this point.
I suppose he’s a fundamentalist. Pretty scary what the extremist might believe, don’t you think? Even scarier is thinking that there are many, MANY people out there who probably agree with him whole-heartedly.
I’m curious: If a bird from Palestine lands on a tree in Israel, has the land been divided?
States are composed of people, not land. Borders have nothing to do with land—they’re always about the rights of individuals to move about freely without punishment. Borders are about law, not geology (though one often informs the other).
If God doesn’t want his land divided, he should smite folks who resell topsoil or blast tunnels. If He doesn’t want people organized into relatively distinct groups, the whole of which acts as a uniform entity, every grouping
– however longlasting –of people in history is up for the smiting.
Even if we do take allowing people of different religions to cohabitate on the Holy land as the division, I wonder how the 67 war fares, how the creation of Israel itself fares…
As a side note, I wonder how Pat feels about the general lack of pomp and flare in the smitings over the past couple thousand years. Seems things used to be far more Hollywood—folks turned to salt! A stroke is a little low-budget, yeah?
Ya don’t gotta telll me it’s crazy. I just suddenly thought, I find it hard to believe jesus came back to life or that an alien race used to run the world or that my soul will go to heaven(maybe!) so, how much of a difference is there between these things and crazy old Pat? Maybe I am just more used to the other stuff. Except the alien thing, I don’t actually know any scientologists
Living over here in the land where someone’s job is too black out the word Israel from all atlases and maps I have something really deep and insightful to add…. Hey michele have you seen the anti-panti over at mighty goods? Saw it and thought Mihow needs to know!
I hear Pat Robertson wears ‘em.
