  1. Good. I’m glad they made that decision.

  2. It just goes to show it pays to write letters and let people know how you feel about something. Not that I did that or anything…

Someone called me and I got email asking that I post this considering I was rather ruthless about Ford last week. It’s a good thing, for sure. Good for Ford.

  3. They just clarified that they had not caved to the AFA. They have always been progressive in their policies regarding gay employees and have offered domestic partner benefits since 2000. They have offered to put Ford advertising in place of the Jaguar/Land Rover advertising that had been pulled for economic reasons rather than political or religious reasons. And Bill Ford made a rather strong statement that Ford company values “all people – regardless of their race, religion, gender, sexual orientation and cultural or physical differences.”

  4. It’s a shame their cars are crap. I think the AFA (or someone like them) is boycotting American Girl because AG supports Girls, Inc.—an advocacy group for girls. American Girl’s relationship with Girls Inc ends on 12/26; I hope they renew afterwards and don’t run away from the fight.
