First Batch of Rhode Island Images

Well, I got one roll of film back today. Here are the images. (All images can be enlarged by clicking on them. All images were taken using a Pentax K100 and using NPC 160 Speed film.)

Actually, no. I thought of that AFTER i got my plates. I doctored that baby in Photoshop. :] Can I still be cool, though?

Esp. since you have recently shrunk to the size of a pea?

Sian, what are the chances of your coming to visit DC this weekend, too? I was thinking of driving down. Though, I am not sure if they are around this weekend. I know it’s Soung’s birthday. I gained weight after this vacation. It’s time to start the vomiting and laxatives again. :[

We actually will be in D.C. this sunday night. We are going to celebrate Vu’s pop’s B-Day. It is the same as Soung’s. As far as I know, those two will be away at the beach. Think they leave Saturday. I am trying to get those guys here in early-ish October to celebrate my birthday and me and Vu’s anniv.
Maybe y’all should come too. It’s not that much further/farther(which one?)

I think we could arrange that. I just emailed Soung. You’re right, they leave Saturday. Oh well. I wish I could hang there Sunday night but I have to work the following morning. Sucks.

Yeah,
We actually should come up. We have other friends that having been trying to get us to come for years. Mostly it is an issue of time. Also, I do hate all those friggin people everywhere! All dressed all fancy and hip. It makes me nervous. But I have had fun. I do best when I have a solid home base to retreat to. Maybe we will put it on the “to do” list!

nothing cooler than showering outside. (i put a sky-light in the guest bath of a friend’s house, now they shower in there instead of their master bath. natural light gets people i guess)

MIHOW: The first two pictures in this series are really beautiful. What is that film? I’m familiar with the Pentax K100 but mine never made such beautiful images? What’s your secret?

Rob, it’s NPC 160. I truly adore that film. If you want something softer, try NPS. (Toby Joe taught me this yesterday: NPS = Soft, NPC = Contrasy. Cool, eh?)
Gina, it was a rental. Nico is the woman. She finds everything for us and then cooks for us when we’re there. Awwww
