For those of you looking for the first Self-Portrait Day go here. Over the next week, what you see there will move to here. The response has been wonderful. Thank you. I hope this will enable more people to be seen and see. That is our goal.

  1. Question – I feel like the least technically inclined person when I ask questions like this, but in your email you sent about the Self Portrait Day, what is DPI, and how do I get my picture to 72 of them? I know how to make it in the right format, and size it correctly, but DPI? Help, please.

  2. You’re adorable. And you know what, Maddie, no one SHOULD know that other than internet dweebs such as myself. It stands for Dots Per Inch. But, don’t worry about it. If you took a digital picture, just send it as is. I can take care of that. :] 72 DPI is the web standard (that’s all a webpage can display.) On the flip-side, something printed uses 300 DPI, and so on. :]

  4. DonaldEugene, send me an email soon (if you know when you were thinking) We’re already up to the end of March. (I might need to rethink the number of entries each week. We’ll see.)

  6. You know, my father (who actually reads this site, actually, my entire, twisted family does at times) called yesterday to talk about the roller-derby lady. He thought someone had sent in a picture of a movie star. When I told him she was a friend of ours from Brooklyn, he was all “She’s beautiful.” I was all EWWWW GROSS and then I though, no, actually she IS beautiful.

  8. Hey, I’m replying to your comment here, so I know you’ll get it. YES, Becky and I did go to high school together! 10 years ago! The last time I saw her was about a year after graduation. On a random bus in downtown Seattle. (That is not where we went to high school!) Freaky small world, huh? I emailed her yesterday. Thanks doll, for making it possible!
