To Job or not to Job

Well, I was offered this position, the one I talked about above. It’s a lot of money. And the people are great. I know them, I’ve been working for them from home for months, no, years now.

Do I take this job? I would be rich. I would be able to buy a house AND a car. I would have a 401 K and access to every video game known to man. I would work with geeks and hipsters.

Obviously, there are a number of positive things. If I had been looking for a job, there would be no question that this would be the one I would want. I am leaning towards saying yes. The only bad thing, the only annoying thing, is I’d be giving up my days again.

What does a gal do?

    As I like to say [but hardly ever practice], life is like a hairdo, try something for a while and if you decide you don’t like it try something else.

    And if you could negotiate some flex time into the position you’d still be able to yoga on Friday afternoon!

    Oh, I plan on keeping that going no matter what. Friday Yoga is like eating. :] Plus, I get to see you, sweet boy.

    Definitely take it. You can always break off on your own whenever you want. It’s rare to come across a job where you like the people, like the work, & are getting a butt load of benjamins for it.

    Plus, most importantly, once you take the job, you can siphon over all of the extra freelance work to me that you won’t be able to handle now (due to conflicts of interest) :)

    Judging by what I have received in email regarding this particular post, I should take the job. But there’s the whole freedom thing. Which I thought I would have but found that teaching sucks it out of me as well. These few months have not been easy. In fact, harder. I’m babbling.

    Which, by the way, was confirmed on being released right around the same time PS3 is to come out. Apparently in a few months?

    I learned this valuable information while I was there. I had a sickness for Halo. It made me get up in the wee hours of the morning and night. It made me play it.

    Mihow do what makes you (and hubby) happy…that is the lesson I learned during two months “on the bench” (though not by choice for me). I almost took a job for the sake of taking it and I am so glad that my friends talked me out of it.

    As for Halo…played it a couple of times but never freaking got the whole buzz over it. There was another game that a buddy of mine dubbed “evercrack”? Something like Everquest…sound right? Supposedly the same addictive nature…I am a Grand Theft Auto fan…

    Getting to my point when does PS3 come out? I may have to request this as my wedding present if it is June…please advise as I have NO idea what I need or want (I already have the best wife-to-be in the world).

    Sounds like one hell of a company…but go with your gut! And CONGRATS!

    Well I think time is the most vaulueble thing we have!! But if youre broke its not a whole lot of fun! So make some dosh!! and then take time to enjoy it with Tobey JOe! and hook us up with the new HALO!! i love that game !! it did wierd things to me too!!
