Class

I am in Alexandria for a Director class. It took me over an hour to get here, which would have been fine if it weren’t so cold out. I am the only Mac user in the class today. But there are only 4 people signed up. We’ll see if I learn anything. :] We’re not able to drink coffee (or anything) around the computers, and that’s just annoying. But I suppose it makes sense.
Some newbie designer dude, fresh out of school, came up to me while I was putting my sandwich away and said,

Are you here for the Quark class? I’m here for the Quark class.

I answered trying to not make any eye contact as I hadn’t had coffee and really didn’t want to chat,

I know that program—-mastered it years ago. I’m here for the Director class.

What a loser, I am. And so pathetic that it sounded as if I were bragging about knowing Quark. Dork. (Me, not him). Anyhow, it’s nearly time to begin. Be back later. (I hope).

  6. You know, the spot where the guy is skiing down the mountain, and is talking about how tiny the mountain is compared to in Switzerland, his super model girlfriend, etc. and then smashes into the shed? ;)

  7. Well, I have heard not so great things but he keeps saying good things. He’s an OSX guy, but seems to think XP is pretty “slick” (was the word he used). Ah well. Just some geek man who has an opinion. :]

  13. for people who can’t afford the flashy hardware to run that spiffy osX thingy winXP is just peachy. as microsoft products go it’s top notch. then again, getting the “top notch” rating isn’t that hard when yr from the same company that uses that retarded fucking paperclip to pester you constantly in msOffice…

point being: for me (YMMV) using winXP on a machine that i put together because i can’t afford a new mac lets me run all the goodie goodie stuff i could want in order to be able to work/learn new stuff/keep going with my life/etc…
