Hello! My name is Michele Boudreaux. I live in Maplewood, New Jersey and I make specialty cakes, cookies and pies. I would love to make you your next cake!
I graduated in 2010 from Institute For Culinary Education with a major in pastry arts. Prior that, I worked as a full-time graphic designer; I love combining the two disciplines. They are oddly very similar!
My cakes vary in price, but they do tend to be on the higher end as I take great care in my work and make everything by hand. However, I always try and work within a customer’s budget. I generally give people a couple of options, varying in the amount of work involved and therefore price.
I use only the best ingredients, including: organic buttermilk, free-range eggs, and organic butter. I use bromine free flour. When using fondant, I use Satin Ice, which is one of the tastiest fondants. Animal welfare is extremely important to me, so when I am able to, I try and support smaller, local farms. When using live flowers, I work with Lotus Petals in downtown Maplewood.
