Hi! It’s been far too long. Thing is, Toby updated my site (as you can see). And after that I had some trouble figuring out how to sign in and actually use it. So, it sat. But! Today I figured it out! And so here I am. And I do hope that now that it’s up and running again I’ll write more often.

In the meantime, I’ve been making cakes and cupcakes for people and I’ve been loving every second of it. I love my kids. I love being a fulltime mom, but I also love doing this. So it’s been great. I hired someone to watch the kids for a couple of hours a few days each week and I’ve been creating again.

Anyway, my most recent cake job was created for a woman who has two little boys (ages 3 and 4) who were having a joint birthday party. She wanted two cakes that worked together, but worked separately as well. She wanted Moon Mater on one and Lightning McQueen on the other. Here is what I came up with in three short, stressful (but exciting!) days.
