Tuesdays With Murray (Chapter 50)

I simply couldn’t resist. This video was taken yesterday. I hope it cheers someone up out there!

They really, really like playing together. This went on for a while yesterday and I just stood there, smiling.

Also, sorry about yesterday’s cryptic and grumpy post. I was having a “throw your hands up” sort of day. Today looks much better.

I’ll be doing quite a bit of traveling starting Thursday (with the baby) and I think that has me sort of nervous and excited. I’ll try and update here, but I will most likely use Twitter a bunch. Either way, I’ll be back next week armed with stories from a rocky coast.

  1. Adorable! I wish our cat and kid played together like that. Our son would love to, but whenever he gets close to the cat, the cat mutters a few curse words under his breath and jumps up on the couch, where he knows the baby can’t reach him. He can have peace up there, at least for a few more months! Poor cat won’t know what to do when Matthew starts walking.

BTW, congrats on the weight loss! You sound a little daunted by the 20 pounds you still have to go, but hey! You’ve already lost 7 pounds! Celebrate that and let the other 20 pounds take care of themselves.

Oh, and have fun with your travels! We’re leaving this weekend for a week of family vacation ourselves. Enjoy that gorgeous little boy and his wonderful smiles!

  2. My god, he’s getting bigger every day! Em’s growing pretty fast, too.

  3. Milissa: Last night I took an ice cream making class at a local shop in Brooklyn. Needless to say, last night’s dinner (and points) consisted of a LOT of fresh ice cream.

I was shocked at how filling full-fat ice cream can be! I ate it up and loved every minute of it. I woke up starving (and armed with a new day of points) today.

bkgunner: yes, Murray is fat. I have NO idea how that happens! All my cats end up fat. :[ Do they make WW for pets?

  6. Giggles. Love that Murray is so good with Em. Am praying Shrute and Lil One will be just as good with Bruce. Our oldest cat Elvis (looks just like Murray, but our E might be even fatter) tries to play with him but at four months the only thing Bruce can do is pull at him and Elvis doesn’t like that too much.
Glad to hear you are feeling better and having a better day. Your videos of baby and M really make us smile (yes I show vids to my baby) Bruce really always seems interested and amused looking at another baby and kitties.

    Thanks again for sharing.

  10. Great video! I’m glad to hear you are going to keep updating. Sometimes it seems like life has handed you way too many lemons to make that lemonade. Getting away will help.
