Hindu Rope Plant

It’s called a Hindu Rope Plant. I nearly killed it about 8 years ago. And then during one of my many moves, my father ended up adopting it and while it was with him it grew to be about 10 feet long. (It spins around on itself, ends up looking more like a big ol’ tangled mess.)

He used to tell me about the flowers and I never got to see them. Recently, he and my mother embarked on a The Great Retirement Tour of 2007 and I got all my plants back including the Hindu Rope Plant.

It bloomed. And it’s freaking beautiful. Just goes to show that some of the weirdest/ugliest looking plants produce the most amazing flowers.

Let’s hope the same can be said for human babies. ;]
