Best songs in movies.

I am trying to get the Times Square 360 view to work on here. But I suck and I don’t know what I’m doing. So I might just put that crap up tomorrow. Or maybe I will play more when I’m not busy. In the meantime….
Best use of a song in a movie. GO!!!

Kicking and Screaming: Bad Reputation

This is hard, there are too many and I can’t think of any.

Every song in Rushmore – most perfectly scored movie I’ve ever seen.

Office Space – “Down for Whatever” – Ice Cube; “Damn it Feels Good to Be a Gangster” & “Still” – Geto Boys; Back up in your ass with the resurrection. Indeed.

  9. The Massive Attack song in “Snatch” when Brad Pitt’s trailor is being burned down.

Can’t remember the name of the song, and since I’ve been awake since 2:00 am to watch the US world cup match, I can’t make the effort to look the song up.

  10. OH!

You made me think of one. There is scene from “Go” when that cute little drug dealer guy is trying to seduce the cute little drug-buying girl in the apartment. It’s set to Massive Attack. Yes. That scene is wonderful. Yum.

Dazed and Confused – “Tuesday’s Gone” – Lynard Skynyrd. In the party wrap-up scene, I thought this was perfect

  13. Either ‘Hey Jude’ in the Royal Tenebaums or the ‘You are Forgiven’ song in Rushmore – those I saw recently.

Or the whole score to “Goodfellas”

Speaking of massive attack.. I think… The scene at the end of snatch where they realize that mickey had a plan all along, and they’re watching the plan unfold in slow motion.

I think that was massive attack.
I think that was the scene.
I think I should go nap.
