Rick and Keith set up a photo booth at the Barbarian Group Holiday party on Thursday night. Basically, you walk in; press a button and a picture is taken. It’s stored on a hard drive and a little while later it shows up on a huge screen on stage. It was quite fun to watch.
Here is Tobyjoe poking fun at Ryan.
See them all here.
More on Boston later when I’m not totally beat.

My brother has worked on Wall Street for years. All this time he’s been telling me stories, stories that have rendered me speechless. I had no idea things what took place at the NYSE. I’d seen movies, heard stereotypes, and I’d placed a few bets here and there, but my brother’s stories had me asking, “You’re making this up, right? Hookers? Really?”

I woke up full of questions and instead of asking Google or calling a bunch of customer service representatives to get some answers, I figured I’d try using this site first. So, if you hold the answer and/or any valuable information to any of the following items (which have nothing to do with one another) please feel free to email me and/or leave a comment. (Email: douchebag at mihow.com)

I quit my job yesterday. It was a really tough decision because I love my boss and coworkers. I’ve grown quite attached to them over the last two years. Right after I told my boss I would be leaving she handed me a present she had picked up while out for lunch and for no reason whatsoever. She got me the new Amy Sedaris book called I Like You. My boss could not know me better. She will be missed.

You may have noticed the giant banner ad on the right. They’re back. We’re trying to clear out our second bedroom, fix it up a bit for visitors (or future family members). Tobyjoe said, “They all gotta go. Do whatever you can. We gotta get rid of them”. There’s a sale going on, people. For nine bucks, you can have a Bush Tee. Tell your friends, your enemies, and your coworkers. Spread the word. They’re excellent conversation starters and they make great gifts.

I discovered photography in high school. I learned how to shoot black and white, develop the negatives, and develop the prints. I loved it. Once I hit college, I continued to shoot. I took a college level course in black and white and signed up for a darkroom monkey position. I gained 24-hour access to the lab. I learned how to mix chemicals.

Robert, Tobyjoe, and Ashley, all supernerds who work for the Barbarian Group, finished up a huge display for Saturn yesterday. It’s a part of Wired’s NextFest taking place in New York City this week. You can check out some photos of the booth here. It’s really beautiful. I can’t wait to see it big and in person.

In order to live up to my flakiness, I have come up with another pet project. I know that some of you are thinking, “Oh, here we go again! Another pet project! What a flake!” That’s me. I’m Pillsbury in a can. I’m a hot biscuit on a Sunday morning. I’m a boardwalk elephant ear. I’m dried skin. I’m old paint. Pick at me, peel me up, but there will be more. There will always be more.

I work on 42nd Street and Madison. I have worked here for a little over a year. I’m not crazy about Midtown. Actually, I really can’t stand Midtown. The people are grumpier, yet they seem to be wealthier. It’s weird, Midtown. And even the bodegas, delis, and chain restaurants take note of the higher income bracket; bottles of water are 50 cents more than they are in Brooklyn or anywhere else for that matter. I can buy a Snapple in Brooklyn for 1.50. It’s 2.50 here in Midtown.
