Three (I MEANT FOUR!) Photos

July 30th, 2009

It’s been brought to my attention that I’ve been a little depressing as of late. Oh, Internet, you don’t even know the half of it. But there’s been some laughter here as well. Every time I sit down to write, it’s either too depressing or it’s filled with anxiety and worry. I am working through this. I’m not sure if it’s PPD or what, but it’s not been easy. (Damn hormones.)

Anyway, here are a few pictures.

My Angel by you.

My kid loves puddles, the muddier, the better.

gkk

And here is a shot of Emory and Murray conspiring together.

Em and Murray conspire. by you.

I’ll be back soon. Murray keeps threatening to update for me and believe me, people, THAT WON’T BE PRETTY.

Update, woman! by you.

Are You Currently Pregnant?

I sat in the waiting room chair and read it again.

As Tears Go By

July 22nd, 2009

What you’re supposed to be reading today is three months worth of posts about how Emory was going to welcome a little brother or sister into the world on February 3rd, 2010 and how his mother and father were elated that their family of three was going to become a family of four. That’s what was supposed to take place this week. Instead, you’re reading about how on Monday morning we went in for a 12-week sonogram only to discover that the fourth member of our family didn’t make it.

Wesley (TWM Chapter 102)

July 21st, 2009

My family and I are going through a very difficult time right now. I’m not ready to discuss it. Quite frankly, not much could have brought me here today. But there’s a cat that needs help and so I’m mustering up all the strength I have left in order to write this.

Mom It Down! Blueberry Muffins

July 20th, 2009

I actually surprised myself on Sunday morning. I woke up at six AM, rolled out of bed, retrieved my 2-year-old and started baking by 6:30. The house smelled absolutely out of this world and we were munching on fresh muffins all before 7:30 AM.

Itchy Calves

July 17th, 2009

I can already picture the responses I’ll likely get from this one: “TALK TO A DOCTOR!” I have. In fact, I have talked to five doctors about this and not one person has been able to tell me anything. The best response I’ve gotten is, “Put some lotion on it.”

NO! MINE! (TWM: Chapter 101)

July 14th, 2009

It was only a matter of time before my sweet son turned into a demanding and temperamental toddler whose favorite two words are: mine! and NO! More often than not, these two words appear together with a booming, “NO! MINE!”

Whole Wheat Raisin and Walnut Bread

July 13th, 2009

I’ve been making this bread for over five years. I’m not sure where I first picked up the recipe. If I could remember, I’d thank the person because it’s absolutely fantastic. And the variations come as easy as making the bread. You won’t be let down with this one. It’s really wonderful. Also, to the vegans: as long as you’re not opposed to honey, this is a vegan recipe.

Motherf*lter: Britax Roundabout

July 9th, 2009

Before Em was born, a very kind friend of mine purchased the Britax Roundabout for us. It has one of the highest safety ratings and customers seemed to love it. Check out how it was put to use before Emory was born.

Our Water Park

July 8th, 2009

For the record, there’s a great deal of awesome about this neighborhood. For example, the water park at McCarren Park playground is absolutely incredible. I look forward to taking my son there. I haven’t seen so much collective joy on a group of children’s faces outside of Disney World.
