I’ve Got Big Ball

May 26th, 2006

I want to be just like Tobyjoe so I went ahead and purchased one of these to sit on at work. Recently, I have had more and more morning back pain. It wakes me up every morning. Usually, the pain goes away after I get up and walk around. It makes sleeping in impossible. I’m hoping that the ball helps with this. Thing is, I am not used to sitting up straight, because now my back hurts in different ways. Hopefully, that subsides when I become stronger in the tummy.

In other news, my cell phone worked last night when I went to bed after spending a week in a baggie with silica. This morning, however, it no longer works. Looks like I’m going pink today.

    is it maybe battery related?

Did you try flipping and rotating your mattress?

nico, no. Not for a long time. Unless tobyjoe did it without my knowing. :]

Try it. We flip ours every couple months. It makes a big difference. And makes your mattress last longer.

have you considered getting a memoryfoam mattress? they’re super nice.

Nico makes a good point. If your mattress is more than 8 or 10 years old it might be worn out. Nothing will give you a bakc ache faster than a bad mattress!

My accupuncturist has one of those ball chairs and says they’re good for you.

you have an accupuncturist? Tell me more! I want to try that.

    i just noticed…

were you trying to point out the irony between ‘big ball’ and ‘going pink’?

i am gettign ready to buy a new mattress. the cheap futon-like thing i bought pre-grad school just ain’t cutting it, no matter how it gets flipped and rotated. piece of poo.
are those memory foam mattresses really as magical as they say?

What she said. Memory foam, what’s the deal? Also, are they hotter than most? Will we boil? it’s hot finally. It’s on my mind.

stop by a Design Within Reach store and try laying on one of theirs. they’re pretty sweet.

They want way to much – like 1100 for the basic, but they go on sale for 20% off every other month- and there are cheaper ones online.
