Thom Pain

On Thursday, Toby Joe and I are going to see Thom Pain. He sort of surprised me with tickets last night after having mentioned wanting to see it months ago. I hope it’s good.

Missy, is it worth the 120 bucks?

    Man, 120 is a lot of dollars. That’s 10 more dollars than minutes the play is long. I think you’ll like it; there’s a undercurrent of bitterness throughout the whole thing even when he’s being (deliberately) funny or beside the point. Not that there is a point. It’s more of a conversation than a path towards something bigger, but I KNOW you’ll find some of the singular lines of the monologue very memorable and moving. James Urbaniak is very James Urbaniak-y and since I know you like him, you’ll enjoy his performance.

    yeah, 60 bucks apiece. :/ Nuts, eh? Ah well, I mean, we have been known to drop that during one night on the town. heh
