Good Morning
posted by mihow on November 12th, 2004
Are hotels open on Thanksgiving? How about hotels in Wyoming or Illinois? Is Cracker Barrel open on Thanksgiving? Is it snowing up north? I suppose there are always the Chinese Buffets. For one must have mashed potatoes in November.
I feel a Friday haiku coming on.

If you’re in the south, Waffle House is always open.

I wonder how much longer it would be if we went south. I’d rather go south because of the terrain, but I don’t think time will permit. :[ You know, I haven’t ever been to to a Waffle House? I am so lame.

The fact that you have not visited a waffle house does not make you lame. In fact, somehow it probably makes you better than those of us who have.

We have Waffle House in Michigan, too! and although I cannot highly recommend eating there, I am generally fond of the building design.

My first experience at a Waffle House this summer was unimpressive. But maybe I just hit a bad one; lots of people seem to think they’re great.

Is it true you kinda need to be a meat eater to really enjoy the Waffle House? Toby said something about a scattered, smothered, covered, diced and chunked dish. That sounds like something Dahmer might serve. But Toby says, that when he ate meat, it was awesome. AWESOME!

scattered, smothered, covered: refers to cheese & potatoes.
Diced: refers to ham.
Chunked: refers to bowel movement that will bring you to your knees begging your god to end the misery a few days later.

Maybe it’s best to avoid the Waffle House after all.

Gina, I wonder how long it will take us to get to your neck of the woods this time around. I wish I knew. It’d be most excellent to see you if even for an hour or two. I will do some research. We could meet at the Waffle House and admire the building design together.

We should crash Hamtramck for Turkey day.

There is a Waffle House near Chambersburg, PA. Not far from home…I hear it is really bad, but the building is cute with nice giant globe lights.

Waffle House is pretty ghetto y’all. I think Cracker Barrel is open all the time. We usually stop over there when we land in Kentucky for our annual Christmas visit, and yeah I have to admit, I enjoy it. I enjoy the whole cheesy experince of it.
